Traffic Accident on Ocotillo Road Resulted in Major Injuries

DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (June 22, 2022) – A pedestrian crash on Ironwood Drive left one person with injuries, Saturday evening.

The accident happened on Ironwood Drive and Ocotillo Road around 10:30 p.m., according to initial reports.

Furthermore, police said a Chevrolet Cobalt driver struck a pedestrian standing near a parked vehicle in front of a home in the 66600 block of Ironwood Drive.

Afterward, the collision caused the pedestrian to become pinned against the parked vehicle. Eventually, medical responders arrived and rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.

Police believed that alcohol and/or drugs played a factor in the incident. However, no arrests were immediately reported.

At this time, the identities of all parties involved remain unavailable at this time. Desert Hot Springs Officials continue to investigate the collision.
