One Man Killed in Head-On Collision on Charleston Boulevard
LAS VEGAS, NV (June 14, 2022) – Douglas Wayne Schoeffler, 75, lost his life following a head-on crash on Charleston Boulevard.
The incident happened at about 11:00 a.m. near West Charleston Boulevard and Heavenly Hills Court, police said.
According to reports, a 2013 Kia Sportage was traveling eastbound on Charleston when a 2000 Ford Expedition traveling westbound crossed the center divider and crashed head-on with the Kia.
Responding officers located one person who was pronounced dead at the scene. Police identified the deceased victim as 75-year-old Schoeffler.
The Ford driver, on the other hand, sustained serious injuries and medics took the driver to University Medical Center for further treatment.
Additionally, authorities temporarily closed both directions of the roadway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
Meantime, an active investigation is underway.
