Jakayah Lassiter Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 405 Freeway[Seal Beach, CA]
24-Year-Old Victim Dead after Traffic Accident near 605 Freeway
SEAL BEACH, CA (June 2, 2022) – Jakayah Lassiter was killed Monday morning, in a multi-vehicle collision on 405 Freeway.
The crash happened around 3:29 a.m., on the HOV connector road from the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway to the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway.
At this time, the events leading up to the deadly collision remain unclear. However, reports indicate that Lassiter was driving a Nissan Murano and collided head-on with an attenuator barrier.
The impact pushed the Nissan back into the HOV lane, before colliding head-on with a southbound 2015 Honda Accord, driven by a 70-year-old Buena Park man.
Due to the impact of the crash, 24-year-old Lassiter died at the scene. Meanwhile, medics took the driver of the Honda to Long Beach Memorial Hospital with multiple lacerations.
A passenger in the Honda, a 32-year-old Huntington Beach man, was transported to the hospital with multiple lacerations and fractures.
Seal Beach Officials continue to investigate the fatal multi-vehicle crash. Once available, further details will be provided.
