One Injured in Head-On Crash on Huntington Drive [Duarte, CA]
Traffic Collision near Duarte Azusa Animal Hospital Left Serious Injuries
DUARTE, CA (May 19, 2022) – A head-on crash on Huntington Drive left one driver with serious injuries Tuesday evening.
According to the report, surveillance footage caught the incident around 9:21 p.m. in the 2700 block of Huntington Drive beside the Duarte Azusa Animal Hospital.
The footage captured showed a red Prius driving the wrong way on Huntington Drive and consequently collided with an Audi SUV.
As a result, the Prius ended up wrecking into a building next to the animal hospital.
Eventually, emergency personnel arrived at the scene and rescued one person who suffered serious injuries. The unidentified individual was rushed to a local hospital for further treatment.
In addition, the Los Angeles County Fire Department contacted animal control services in regards to a dog found dead inside the Prius.
Duarte officials continue to investigate the head-on crash.
