Several Injured in Auto Accident near Napa Valley Corporate Way
NAPA, CA (May 19, 2022) – Five people suffered injuries Saturday after a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 221.
The accident occurred around 2:40 p.m., on the southbound lanes of the highway near Napa Valley Corporate Way on May 7th.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 61-year-old San Francisco man was driving in the left lane in his 2007 Acura RDX when he rear-ended a 2021 Ram 1500 pickup-truck.
The truck then collided with a 2007 Toyota Highlander, which collided with a 2020 Lincoln Nautilus.
Responding medics took a total of five people to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for further treatment.
Officials only identified the injured victims as the Acura driver and his 87-year-old female passenger, a 68-year-old woman and her 6-month-old son in the pickup, and a 53-year-old Vallejo woman driving the Toyota.
Paramedics, on the other hand, took the involved infant to a medical center as a precaution.
At this time, officers have not yet released the names of all parties involved. Meantime, an active investigation into the multi-vehicle collision on Highway 221 is currently underway.
