Adrian Flores Injured, One Killed in Vehicle Accident near Pedrick Road
SACRAMENTO, CA (May 17, 2022) – Tuesday morning, 42-year-old Ernest Detore died in a multi-car crash on Interstate 80.
The crash occurred around 6:50 a.m., May 10th, along Interstate 80.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Detore’s Ford F-650 truck was traveling west on Interstate 80 near Pedrick Road.
Consequently, it collided with the rear of a Ford F-450 pickup truck.
The F-650 then continued west and sideswiped a tractor-trailer, while the F-450 collided with the metal guardrail in the center median.
Responding officers pronounced 42-year-old Detore dead at the scene. Meanwhile, medics took a passenger in the F-650 to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
Authorities later identified the injured passenger as Adrian Flores of Sacramento.
Four F-450 passengers, on the other hand, suffered minor injuries and did not require hospitalization. The tractor-trailer driver escaped the accident unharmed.
At this time, Fresno officials continue to investigate the multi-vehicle crash.
