Vehicle Crash on Kent Avenue Left Two Hurt
RIVERSIDE, CA (May 13, 2022) – Friday evening, a man riding a horse received major injuries in a traffic accident on Wells Avenue.
The collision happened near Wells and Kent Avenues. Police said a 44-year-old woman was traveling eastbound on Wells Avenue in a GMC Yukon.
Consequently, a horse and its rider walked in front of her 1999 GMC Yukon and were hit by the vehicle.
The impact launched the rider off the horse, according to police. Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the horse sustained minor injuries, according to authorities.
Additionally, the involved driver stayed and cooperated with the investigators.
Police said it’s unknown if the driver may have been impaired. An active investigation into the crash is underway.
