Pedestrian vs Vehicle Collision in Safeway Parking Lot Left One 57-Year-Old Man Dead

QUINCY, CA (May 13, 2022) – Tuesday morning, Michael Probst was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident in a Safeway parking lot.

The crash happened around 8:09 a.m., in the parking lot of a Quincy Safeway supermarket. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

Initial investigations showed that Probst was walking through the parking lot when a Dodge 2500 truck, driven by a 58-year-old Calpine man, struck him for reasons unknown.

Upon arrival, paramedics discovered the pedestrian with significant injuries. Authorities later declared 57-year-old Probst, dead at the scene.

At this time, authorities are working to determine the cause of the collision.
