40-Year-Old Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash near Dickenson Avenue
FRESNO, CA (April 19, 2022) – Friday night, 40-year-old Roberto Hernandez was killed in a head-on collision on Highway 180.
According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:25 p.m., on April 15 near Dickenson Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers located two damaged vehicles. For reasons unknown, the driver of an eastbound vehicle veered into the westbound lanes. As a result, the wrong-way driver collided head-on with an oncoming westbound truck.
Medical personnel pronounced the wrong-way driver, 40-year-old Hernadez, dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the truck sustained minor injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.
At this time, California Highway Patrol said it is not yet known if drugs or alcohol played a role. Once available, further details will be provided.
