Woman Killed, 1 Hurt after Head-On Collision on Buena Vista Avenue
RIVERSIDE, CA (April 5, 2022) – On Friday, a 58-year-old Jurupa Valley woman died after a head-on collision on Buena Vista Avenue.
The CHP said the crash took place at around 3:11 p.m. near Buena Vista Avenue and Indian Hill Road.
According to reports, an 18-year-old driver in a black 2018 Audi sedan crossed the center line and collided head-on with the woman’s vehicle.
Responding paramedics then rushed the woman to a hospital where she later died. At this time, police have not revealed her identity.
Meanwhile, reports stated that the teen driver also sustained moderate injuries and medics took him to a local hospital.
Both directions of the roadway were temporarily closed to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
Authorities are currently unsure as to what caused the crash, however, an active investigation is underway. Riverside police will release updates once they are made available.
