Spencer Roark Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 4 [Murphys, CA]

27-Year Old Rider Dies in Head-On Collision on Highway 4

MURPHYS, CA (March 29, 2022) – Monday evening, 27-year old Spencer Roark died after a motorcycle crash on Highway 4, police said.

California Highway Patrol said an officer was out on patrol when they spotted a motorcycle rider allegedly running a stop sign.

Eventually, the officer then started to chase the rider west on Highway 5.

Afterward, the officer reported that the motorcyclist was speeding down the freeway when it crossed over double yellow lines near a curve in the road through Vallecito.

Consequently, it then crashed head-on into an oncoming vehicle; ejecting the motorcycle rider onto the shoulder of the road.

Paramedics arrived and took over treatment, but CHP says the motorcyclist died from his injuries at the scene.

Authorities have since identified the rider as 27-year-old Roark.
