Victim Hospitalized after Hit-and-Run Rollover Crash on Broadway

CHULA VISTA, CA (March 29, 2022) – Police are now searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run accident on Broadway, Monday morning.

The incident occurred around 12:45 a.m., on the 500 block of Broadway.

According to the preliminary report, the driver of a Jeep Grand Cherokee slammed into the front of a white Kia sedan that was approaching Broadway.

Upon impact, the Jeep driver lost control causing the vehicle to overturn multiple times before coming to rest on its roof. Afterward, the driver of the SUV ran away from his vehicle and left his passenger on the scene, injured.

Paramedics aided one passenger on scene before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, the driver of the Kia did not sustain any injuries.

During preliminary investigations, the police found a box of beer and empty bottles inside the Jeep. Although, an active investigation into the collision is ongoing.

However, the identity of the SUV driver is still unknown.
