Deryk Shaffer Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Knickerbocker Road [Big Bear, CA]
Vehicle Accident on Big Bear Boulevard Left One Fatality
BIG BEAR, CA (March 25, 2022) – Sunday evening, a motorcycle crash on Knickerbocker Road claimed the life of Deryk Shaffer, police said.
According to the authorities, the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Knickerbocker Road and Big Bear Boulevard.
Furthermore, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department claimed that the motorcyclist lost control and fell onto the roadway.
Eventually, emergency personnel arrived at the scene and transported 30-year-old Shaffer to Bear Valley Community Hospital, where he later died.
At this time, Big Bear City Officials are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the motorcycle crash.
A portion of the roadway was temporarily closed down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. However, an active investigation is currently ongoing.
