82-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after Moped Accident near Cashman Center

LAS VEGAS, NV (March 18, 2022) – Thursday morning, an elderly man sustained serious injuries in a collision on McWilliams Avenue.

The accident occurred around 7:58 a.m., on Las Vegas Boulevard North and McWilliams Avenue, near Cashman Center.

Furthermore, reports revealed that the moped rider, headed southbound on Las Vegas Boulevard collided with a 2019 Ford Fusion in the northbound lanes.

Moreover, officials said that the moped was attempting to make a left turn across traffic onto McWilliams when the accident happened.

Paramedics eventually transported the 83-year old man moped rider to UMC Trauma in critical condition.

Meanwhile, medical personnel also took the 34-year-old female Ford driver to the hospital after sustaining minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation as of this time.
