2 Victims Hurt in Wrong-Way Collision on East 2nd Street

RENO, NV (March 11, 2022) – Sunday morning, 28-year-old Aveena Adriana Saenz was arrested after a wrong-way crash on Wells Avenue.

The collision between a Toyota Tundra and a Toyota Yaris occurred at about 6:07 a.m., on Wells Avenue and East Second Street.

According to the preliminary investigation, the wrong-way driver of a Toyota Tundra failed to stop at an intersection and reportedly crashed into a Toyota Yaris heading north on Wells Avenue.

The wrong-way driver, Saenz, was later arrested on charges of drunken driving causing substantial damage; driving with a suspended license and reckless driving.

In addition, the bump caused the Yaris major damage and trapped two people inside the vehicle, who suffered life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, the Tundra slammed into a fire hydrant, which busted and caused water to flood the street.
