Pedestrian Crash on 12th Street Hospitalized Two

MERCED, CA (March 8, 2022) – Two people suffered from injuries after a pedestrian hit-and-run accident on M Street Wednesday night.

On March 2nd, officers responded to the area of M Street and 12th Street around 7:45 p.m.

Furthermore, according to authorities, two pedestrians were struck by a car for reasons unknown.

Consequently, responding officers discovered two people lying in the road suffering from minor injuries.

Paramedics then transported both pedestrians to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Per the authorities, the driver did not stop and immediately fled the scene. Witnesses said the suspect driver, who had been driving a four-door sedan, continued northbound along the road.

Moreover, the suspect’s car reportedly sustained damage to the front right bumper and headlight.
