Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Train Accident on Union Pacific Railroad

TUCSON, AZ (February 18, 2022) – Monday evening, a pedestrian was fatally struck in a train collision near Houghton Road.

Authorities responded to the scene around 7:00 p.m., on February 7. According to reports, the pedestrian was struck by the passing train for reasons unknown.

Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene, due to the extent of their condition. Although, authorities have not yet released their name or place of residency.

According to the Union Pacific Railroad, no other injuries were reported. Moreover, the crash is the sixth train accident involving a pedestrian in the Tucson area in less than a year.
