29-Year-Old Man Killed, 2 Hurt in Deadly Accident near Railroad Canyon Road
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (February 8, 2022) – 29-year-old Rafael Marchan lost his life Friday night, in a fatal rear-end collision on 15 Freeway.
The incident occurred around 9:17 p.m., on the southbound lanes of 15 Freeway near Railroad Canyon Road.
For reasons unknown, Marchan was driving on the right shoulder of the freeway in a silver Honda when he rear-ended a parked semi-truck.
Medics responded and pronounced Marchan dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the big rig driver, a 45-year-old Victorville man, remained unharmed.
The surrounding area was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.
At this time, officials have not released further information about the crash, but an active investigation is still currently underway.
