San Diego Chargers’ Junior Seau’s Brother Dies in Crash near Lake View Road
LAKESIDE, CA (February 7, 2022) – A head-on collision on Los Coches Road Tuesday afternoon killed Savaii Seau, the older brother of San Diego Chargers legend Junior Seau.
According to California High Patrol, the crash occurred sometime after 2:00 p.m., near Lake View Road.
Reports indicate that, 56-year-old Seau of El Cajon, was driving north on Los Coches when his 2005 Audi A6 drifted into the path of a southbound Helix Water District dump truck.
As a result, the two vehicles collided. The impact left Seau with severe injuries, placing him at a trauma center where paramedics pronounced him dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, the 60-year-old trucker and Seau’s 42-year-old passenger in the Audi were hospitalized due to “minor to moderately serious injuries”.
At this time, the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
