One Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Sutter Bypass Bridge [Yuba City, CA]

Head-On Collision on Sutter Bypass Bridge Left One Fatality

YUBA CITY, CA (January 31, 2022) – One unidentified person died in a two-vehicle crash on Sutter Bypass Bridge on Saturday.

The accident happened around 7:00 a.m. on January 15th, at Sutter Bypass Bridge along State Route 20.

Furthermore, as per reports, a Toyota female driver lost control of their car and started spinning and crashed into an oncoming GMC that tried to avoid and steered to the left.

Moreover, despite attempting to avoid the collision, the GMC hit the passenger side of the Toyota causing severe damage.

Eventually, responding officers pronounced the Toyota driver dead at the scene. On the other hand, the GMC driver escaped unscathed.

In addition, police officers closed off the area for a brief time to make way for investigation and clean-up operations.

At this time, investigators suspected that a dense fog covering the area possibly caused the incident.
