Oletha Durham Arrested after Pedestrian Crash on Stockton Boulevard [Sacramento, CA]

Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Collision on Fruitridge Road

SACRAMENTO, CA (January 21, 2022) –Authorities arrested Oletha Durham after a pedestrian crash on Stockton Boulevard early Sunday morning.

Officials responded just after 1:20 a.m. to a pedestrian crash on Stockton Boulevard and Fruitridge Road.

At this time, the events leading up to the deadly accident remain unclear. However, reports indicate that officers found a man with critical injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, paramedics declared the male pedestrian dead at the scene.

Shortly after, officers located the involved vehicle and suspect driver involved in the crash. Authorities then arrested 33-year-old Durham on multiple charges including vehicle manslaughter, vehicle theft, and DUI.

At this time, the Sacramento Police Department’s Major Collision Investigations Unit is continuing to investigate the crash.
