Nickolas Brendon Jaynes Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 215 [Grand Terrace, CA]

34-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed in Multi-Vehicle Collision near Barton Road

GRAND TERRACE, CA (January 19, 2022) – Nickolas Brendon Jaynes died in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 215, Tuesday morning.

According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7:49 a.m., on the southbound lanes of the freeway near Barton Board.

Per reports, a 42-year-old Redlands man was driving a 2013 blue Honda Fit south on the freeway. For reasons unknown, the Honda driver veered to the left, eventually colliding with two motorcycles.

As a result, both motorcyclists were injured and transported to local hospitals for further treatment. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, one of the motorcyclists later succumbed to their injuries.

Authorities identified the deceased victim as 34-year-old Jaynes, of Menifee. At this time, the collision is still under active investigation.
