26-Year-Old Victim Fatally Struck in Semi-Truck Accident near Temperance Avenue
FRESNO, CA (January 13, 2022) – Malik Blakeney died Monday night in a big rig crash on North Avenue, authorities said.
According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 6:00 p.m., near Temperance Avenue.
Police said Blakeney was driving his Hyundai northbound on Temperance Avenue south of North Avenue, when he entered the westbound lane into the path of a big rig truck.
Consequently, Blakeney slammed into the right front passenger side of the Hyundai. Due to the impact of the collision, 26-year-old Blakeney died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the 58-year-old truck driver, whose identity was withheld, lost control and spun around, spilling lemons along the roadway. At this time, reports failed to mention what happened to him following the incident.
