Deborah Musquiz Killed in Pedestrian Crash on 15 Freeway [Lake Elsinore, CA]

69-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Collision near Nichols Road

LAKE ELSINORE, CA (January 13, 2022) – Deborah Musquiz died Sunday night after being struck by a car on the 15 Freeway.

According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 5:40 p.m. on the northbound lanes, just south of Nichols Road.

Police said 69-year-old Musquiz, was walking along the side of the freeway for reasons unknown when she was struck by a passing vehicle.

Responders took her to Wildomar’s Inland Valley Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead less than an hour later.

Reports did not state why she was on the interstate, or if there were any arrests made following. No further details regarding the crash are public at this time.
