Brian Garrett Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident on Decatur Boulevard [Las Vegas, NV]

59-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Killed in Deadly Collision near Hayes Place

LAS VEGAS, NV (January 13, 2022) – Saturday afternoon, 59-year-old Brian Garret died in a pedestrian accident on Decatur Boulevard.

The collision happened around 12:52 p.m., at the intersection of Decatur Boulevard and Hayes Place.

According to the police, the driver of a green 2005 Chevrolet Equinox was stopped at a red traffic light, heading north on Decatur.

Meanwhile, Garrett was crossing halfway inside the marked crosswalk when the traffic signal changed into green. Garrett then stumbled and fell as he raced to cross the road. However, he was struck by the Chevy.

Due to the impact of the collision, Garrett was later pronounced dead at UMC Hospital due to multiple blunt force injuries.

In addition, the 39-year-old driver of the Chevrolet stayed at the scene for further investigation. Officers on scene said he showed no signs of impairment.

At this time, the deadly incident remains under active investigation.
