Female Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on 4th Street [Reno, NV]

Woman Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident near Highway 40 Motel

RENO, NV (January 4, 2022) – Saturday evening, a female pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on 4th Street.

Per reports, the incident occurred at 1750 East 4th Street around 6:30 p.m. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls.

According to police, the driver of a white mid-size sports utility vehicle struck a woman in the area and immediately took off.

Investigators say the female pedestrian was crossing near the Highway 40 Motel in the westbound lane when she was hit.

Due to the impact of the crash, paramedics pronounced the female victim dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released her name or place of residency.

At this time, police are still investigating and searching for the vehicle involved on the hit-and-run accident. Additionally, the road remained closed several hours following the crash before it was later reopened.
