66-Year-Old Man Dead after Collision near 24th Street on PCH

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (December 28, 2021) – Officials arrested Daniel Burch and Kimberly Burch after a fatal crash on Pacific Coast Highway.

The tragic accident happened around 6:41 p.m., on Sunday near 24th Street. Crews responded to the scene shortly after.

CHP said Daniel Burch, driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee, struck a male pedestrian walking in the area. Due to the impact, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Police only described the victim as 66-year-old man, but his name is still not known.

Meanwhile, Kimberly Burch later told the officers that she was driving the car when the incident happened. However, officers later found out that Daniel was the driver prior the crash.

Eventually, California Highway Patrol arrested and took both of them in custody. The Huntington Beach police continue to ask anyone with information to call them at 714-536-5670.

At this time, an active investigation is still currently underway.
