Pedestrian Crash on Sixth Avenue Left One Critically Injured
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 23, 2021) – A pedestrian crash on Cedar Street left three injured Saturday afternoon.
San Diego Fire-Rescue said the crash happened around 12:30 p.m.
Furthermore, according to reports, a 58-year-old man driving a grey Toyota Camry crashed over the sidewalk, hitting the pedestrians.
Eventually, he collided with a light post, parking meter, tree and a barber shop.
Moreover, paramedics transported the driver to a local hospital after suffering minor injuries.
Authorities identified the victims as two men between the ages of 65-75 years old. Paramedics immediately transported them to a local hospital after being injured by debris from the crash.
Meanwhile, officers are yet to determine what caused the man to lose control of his vehicle. DUI was not suspected, and he also remained at the scene to cooperate with officers for the investigation.
