Motorcycle Crash on Pershing Avenue Left One Rider Hospitalized

STOCKTON, CA (December 17, 2021) – On Wednesday, a motorcycle rider sustained serious injuries after a crash on Pershing Avenue.

The event occurred on the afternoon of December 1st. Stockton police authorities attempted to stop a motorcycle at Pershing Avenue and Lincoln Road for a traffic offense, but the rider continued on his way.

Subsequently, a brief pursuit started but police later ended the chase for safety concerns.

However, moments later, police said the same rider was involved in another car collision near the 2700 block of West Benjamin Holt Drive.

Emergency crews then transported the critically injured rider to the hospital.

At this moment, police have not released the identity of the motorcyclist.

The investigation is still ongoing, and it’s unclear if the motorcyclist’s speed or intoxication had a role.

If you’re behind the wheel, pay full attention to the road and your surroundings. Do not engage in any non-driving activity which creates a potential distraction. You can help prevent an accident by abiding by all traffic laws and observing safety precautions.
