69-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Collision near Thomas Road
PHOENIX, AZ (December 14, 2021) – Saturday morning, Kim Lee Thurmond was pronounced dead after a pedestrian crash on 32nd Street.
Officers were dispatched to the location shortly before 4:00 a.m., near 32nd Street and Thomas Road.
Per reports, 69-year-old Thurmond was struck by a passing vehicle while crossing the street. Due to the impact of the collision, he suffered life-threatening injuries.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported Thurmond to a nearby hospital for further treatment. However, medics later pronounced him dead due to the extent of his condition.
Additionally, the driver who hit the man remained at the site and is not accused of being inebriated. Although, authorities have not yet released their name or place of residency.
