59-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Killed in Collision on Eighth Street
HANFORD, CA (December 9, 2021) – Tuesday, 59-year-old Susana Russel was fatally struck by a pickup-truck in a collision on Douty Street.
Authorities responded to a call regarding a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the area. Upon arriving, officers found 59-year-old Russel with serious head injuries.
Paramedics transported the severely injured pedestrian to Kaweah Medical Center for further treatment. Despite life-saving efforts, Russel later succumbed to her injuries.
Additionally, the pickup-truck driver remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.
