45-Year-Old Mother Killed in Multi-Car Collision on Linden Avenue

SHORELINE, WA (December 7, 2021) – 45-year-old mother of 2, Diane Marx tragically died after a multi-car collision on Linden Avenue Tuesday evening.

The accident happened at 6:00 p.m., on Linden and 185th avenues near Aurora Avenue.

According to police, Aiden Ott, 27, was driving at a high rate of speed without headlights and crashed into Marx’s vehicle. Ott’s car also reportedly hit by a second car after the initial crash.

Responding officers arrived and declared Marx dead at the scene.

Medics then rushed two of her passengers, her 12 & 6-year-old daughters, who sustained moderate to severe injuries, to Harborview Medical Center.

According to police, the man fled the scene but was subsequently arrested with the help of K9 officers.

Prosecutors charged Ott with vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, and felony hit-and-run and held on $300,000 bail.
