3 Arrested after Car Theft Ends in Crash on 37th Avenue [Puyallup, WA]
Stolen Car Crash on 37th Avenue; 3 Taken into Custody
PUYALLUP, WA (December 7, 2021) – Last Monday, authorities arrested 3 suspected vehicle thieves, two of whom escaped and caused a car crash on 37th Avenue.
Officers responded to the South Hill Mall after a caller reported finding his stolen Ford F150 in the parking lot. The caller remained on the line and informed dispatch of the truck’s location.
The caller also reported seeing a Subaru automobile and a Jaguar sedan in the parking lot that appear to be linked to his stolen truck, both with people inside.
Officers apprehended the suspect in the F150, while the other two suspects fled in the Jaguar.
Subsequently, the Jaguar crashed near the junction of 37th Avenue and South Meridian, causing minor injuries and substantial traffic congestion.
Authorities later arrested the two suspects after trying to run away from the scene.
In addition, police said all three cars had been reported stolen.
At this time, Puyallup police are still reviewing the crash for more details. Further information will be provided as soon as it is available.
