44-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision on Almond Avenue

MERCED, CA (December 7, 2021) – Early Friday evening, Ramon Tristan was killed in a pedestrian accident on Yosemite Parkway.

The incident happened around 5:42 p.m., near the intersection of Yosemite Parkway and Almond Avenue. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after.

According to reports, the driver of a silver Ford Focus struck Tristan while he was crossing the intersection with a dog.

Ultimately, police arrived at the scene and described the involved driver as a 20-year-old woman. She remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

However, officers declared the 44-year-old male pedestrian dead due to his injuries.
