24-Year-Old Motorcycle Rider Ejected and Killed in Collision near Merced Avenue
BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 3, 2021) – Friday afternoon, 24-year-old Bryan Steven Jara was killed in a motorcycle accident on Palm Avenue.
The incident occurred just before 5:00 p.m., near the intersection of Palm and Merced Avenue. Per reports, a northbound motorcyclist slammed on the brakes for reasons unknown.
As a result, the motorcycle overturned, ejecting the rider and slamming him to the front of a southbound vehicle on Merced Avenue. First responders arrived and declared the motorcyclist, Bryan Jara of Wasco, dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the involved car sustained minor injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.
At this time, officers continue to investigate the deadly motorcycle accident. Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact CHP in Buttonwillow at 661-764-5580.
