5-Way Crash on 5 Freeway Sends One To Hospital

CASTAIC, CA (November 17, 2021) – Last Wednesday evening, one person was hospitalized after a 5-way crash on 5 Freeway.

Officers responded to the scene just before 5:00 p.m. after receiving reports of a traffic collision involving a semi-truck and another vehicle.

Dispatch Supervisor Bernard Peters said there was a transport and a gas line spillage.

At least 20 gallons of diesel fuel was spilled near the center divider chrome of the military truck involved in the collision. Hazmat teams responded to clean the spillage.

An active investigation is underway.
