56-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident in Redding
REDDING, CA (November 15, 2021) – Friday, Tina Kay Michaels was killed after being hit by a garbage truck on California-Market Alley.
A Deputy Coroner Investigator responded to the scene at around 8:00 a.m. Officers then identified 56-year-old Michaels. Due to the impact of the collision, she was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The surrounding area was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties, but has since reopened.
Initial investigations said Michaels was sleeping in the alleyway when a garbage truck ran over her. However, more information will be provided once available.
