Vehicle vs Pedestrian Collision Kills Alameda County Supervisor Wilma Chan

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA (November 9, 2021)Wednesday afternoon, 72-year-old Wilma Chan was pronounced dead after being hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Shoreline Drive.

Authorities responded to the scene and found Chan, who was already unresponsive. Reports say she was hit by a car around 2:30 p.m. while walking her dog.

She suffered a serious head injury and was rushed to Highland Hospital where she later died.

The driver of the car, a woman, remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. At this time, the cause of the crash is yet to be determined.
