Two Hurt in Wrong-Way Crash on Highway 101 [San Jose, CA]

2 Hospitalized after Head-On Collision near Tully Road in San Jose

SAN JOSE, CA (October 25, 2021) – At least two people were hospitalized after a wrong-way crash on Highway 101 near Tully Road, last Sunday.

CHP responded at the scene just after midnight along the northbound lanes near Tully Road, after receiving reports about a wrong-way crash involving a white pickup-truck.

As a result of the crash, the pickup truck ended up coming to a stop in the right hand shoulder. Luckily, the driver got out before the truck burst into flames.

Shortly after, another vehicle crashed near the center divider, possibly trying to avoid that first crash.

Emergency crews arrived and took two people to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.

At this time, authorities have not yet released the identities of all parties involved. However, an active investigation remains ongoing.
