Pedestrian Dead after Hit-and-Run Collision near Normandie Avenue
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 20, 2021) – Sherolyn Scott, 64, died Saturday following a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Manchester Avenue.
The collision occurred around 11:25 a.m., on October 16 in the area of Manchester and Normandie Avenue. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after.
According to reports, a woman was walking in a crosswalk when a hit-and-run driver from another collision struck her.
Responding authorities pronounced Scott dead at the scene due to the severity of her injuries.
Meanwhile, the suspect’s car was stuck on 79th Street as they fled the deadly pedestrian accident. The driver then exited the car and fled on foot.
Detectives from the LAPD’s South Traffic Division have asked witnesses with information on the driver to call 323-421-2500.
