41-Year-Old Man Dead after Fatal Train Collision near North First Street

TURLOCK, CA (October 20, 2021)  A freight train struck and killed 41-year-old Frank Fink in downtown Turlock early Monday morning.

The accident occurred in the early morning hours of October 18 near the junction of Olive Avenue and North First Street.

According to police, the man identified as Frank Fink, 41, of Turlock, was struck on the tracks under unknown circumstances.

As a result of the injuries received in the collision, first responders declared Fink dead at the scene.

Turlock Officers asked anyone with information about the fatal crash to call them at 209-668-6529.

Authorities stated that it does not appear that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision; however, the crash is still being investigated.
