45-Year-Old Man Charged after Smashing Van into Taco Truck on Belmont Avenue
FRESNO, CA (October 14, 2021) – Saturday night, Rolando Enrique Aguilar, 45, was arrested after a hit-and-run crash.
Police arrived at the intersection of Maple and Belmont Avenue in southwest Fresno around 7:00 p.m.
According to investigators, Aguilar slammed his van into a taco truck. He was then seen getting out of the van with a beer can in his hand before fleeing the scene.
During preliminary investigations, authorities located several open containers of alcohol inside the van.
In addition, medics say one man was injured and required transportation to a nearby hospital. However, their identity and current condition have not been released.
Officers arrested Rolando Enrique Alvarenga Aguilar at a home in the 4500 block of East McKenzie.
Meanwhile, the crash is still currently under active investigation.
