Stolen Ambulance in Sacramento Crashes into Parked Vehicle, Suspect Arrested

SACRAMENTO, CA (October 7, 2021) – Authorities arrested 35-year-old Cecil Jackson after crashing a stolen ambulance last Saturday.

The Sacramento Police Department received reports of an ambulance weaving recklessly into the traffic before crashing into a parked vehicle.

Furthermore, the ambulance was reported stolen from Mercy General hospital along the 4000 block of J Street.

Eventually, a police aircraft spotted the ambulance in the downtown area where it crashed into an occupied vehicle. According to the police, the occupant inside the parked vehicle suffered minor injuries.

After the initial crash, Jackson abandoned the ambulance in the area of D and 23rd streets and attempted to flee on foot. However, he was arrested around 11:30 P.M. along Democracy Valley.

In the end, the authorities booked Cecil Jackson into Sacramento County Main Jail on charges of emergency vehicle, felony hit-and-run and other related charges.
