Fatal Bicycle Collision on Washburn Road in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV (October 5, 2021) – Thursday morning, a female bicyclist was pronounced dead after a fatal crash on Donna Street.

The collision took place around 7:00 a.m., at Donna Street and Washburn Road. Dispatchers arrived shortly after.

A Mercedes SUV was heading east on Washburn and failed to stop at a stop sign. As a result, the driver struck a bicyclist who was heading northbound on Donna in the intersection.

Due to the impact, a woman believed to be in her 50s died at the scene.

Officer say the Mercedes driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.  As per authorities, speed is considered a role in the inquiry.

Meanwhile, the crash on Donna Street is still under active investigation.
