Former Shadow Hills Football Player Isiah Ortega-Dage Dead after Hit-and-Run Collision
PALM SPRINGS, CA (September 14, 2021) – Authorities arrested a hit-and-run driver that claimed the life of 23-year-old Isiah Ortega-Dage last Saturday.
The fatal incident occurred in the early morning on Palm Drive, north of Varner Road in Desert Hot Springs, according to the CHP.
The investigators claimed that a female driver and Ortega-Dage stopped the sedan on the right shoulder of Varner Road.
Shortly after, Isiah exited from the passenger side of the vehicle to walk around to the driver’s side. There, a Nissan pickup truck struck the man and immediately fled the scene.
Eventually, authorities identified the male victim as Isiah Ortega-Dage of Indio, and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Later on, the authorities located and arrested the hit-and-run driver for vehicular manslaughter and possible DUI.
Desert Hot Springs Officials are investigating the incident.
