Three-Car Collision on Santa Clara Street Kills Ravneel Vilash
SAN JOSE, CA (September 7, 2021) – 22-year-old Ravneel Vilash of Hayward, lost his life Thursday night after a multi-vehicle crash on Santa Clara Street.
The accident happened around 10:32 p.m. September 2, in the area of East Santa Clara Street.
According to police, a driver in a 2005 BMW sedan ran through a red light and collided with a gray 2010 Nissan SUV traveling south for unknown reasons.
Following that, the Nissan collided with a sidewalk barrier and a storefront, while the BMW ricocheted into a black 2012 Acura SUV.
After the collision, the driver of the BMW fled the scene, leaving a fatally injured occupant of the Nissan.
Authorities later identified the deceased victim as Ravneel Vilash, a 22-year-old man from Hayward.
Meanwhile, paramedics took the driver and another passenger of the Nissan to a hospital with moderate to severe injuries. Fortunately, the Acura driver was unharmed.
At this time, the CHP will continue to investigate the two-vehicle crash on Santa Clara Street.
