Two Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on State Route 99 [Red Bluff, CA]
Red Bluff Multi-Vehicle Resulted in Two Fatalities
RED BLUFF, CA (August 25, 2021) – Police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash on State Route 99 left one man and one woman dead last Sunday.
The fatal incident occurred around 7:35 A.M. as a man drove a 2009 Ford Focus northbound on State Route 99 just north of Butler Street.
Simultaneously, 39-year-old Nicholas Hall of Anderson was driving a 2019 Isuzu in the southbound lanes.
Meanwhile, a woman traveling in a 2007 Nissan Sentra was also behind Hall’s vehicle. All of a sudden, the Ford quickly entered the southbound lane and into the path of the Isuzu, the investigators said.
As a result, the Ford collided with the life side of the Isuzu, despite Hall’s attempt to swerve out of the way.
Afterwards, it continued to drive north on the southbound lane, eventually crashing head-on with the Nissan Sentra.
Unfortunately, both the drivers of the Ford and Nissan received fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, Nicholas Hall and his passenger, 24-year-old Michael Zuhlke did not sustain any injuries.
The Red Bluff Officials are investigating the scene in State Route 99 to identify the circumstances surrounding the multi-vehicle crash.
