Stephen McGuire Dead, Joshua Petro Arrested after Fatal Accident on Ball Road in Anaheim
ANAHEIM, CA (August 19, 2021) – Joshua Petro arrested after running over and killing Stephen McGuire last Saturday on Ball Road in Anaheim.
The fatal accident occurred at 12:38 a.m. on August 14 along 107 W. Ball Road, near Anaheim Boulevard.
According to reports, 32-year-old Joshua Petro of El Monte ran over 36-year-old McGuire for unknown reasons.
Officers on the scene discovered McGuire with serious injuries and rushed him to the hospital, where he died shortly after.
During the investigation, police discovered that the driver intentionally ran over him before fleeing the scene. Soon after, police tracked Petro down and arrested him at a motel.
Detectives have not confirmed the exact circumstances of the crash or the relationship between the two at this time. An active investigation, on the other hand, is ongoing.
