Highway 41 Crash Involving Multiple Vehicles Leaves Woman Dead

FRESNO, CA (July 23, 2021) – A multi-vehicle crash on Highway 41 in Fresno claimed the life of Brandi Urena, late Monday morning.

Officers responded at the scene of the collision around 11:30 a.m., in the area of Central Avenue and Highway 41.

Upon arrival, the CHP discovered four vehicles involved and a woman suffering major blunt force trauma.

Per reports, a 24-year-old man speeding in a white Honda Insight rear-ended a black Toyota Yaris, driven by Urena, while stopped at a red light.

Subsequently, the impact pushed the Toyota into the rear of a blue Honda Accord. Meanwhile, the Honda also struck the front side of a Chevy in the next lane.

The Honda Insight driver received minor injuries and is possibly facing vehicular manslaughter and other related charges, said CHP.

Medical personnel transported 42-year-old Urena to Community Regional Medical Center where she later succumbed to her injuries.

At this time, the crash is under active investigation by the Fresno authorities. In addition, the family of Urena set up a GoFundMe page to help with funeral services.
