Rider Dead, Passenger Injured after Los Angeles Motorcycle Crash on Sunset Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (July 6, 2021) – Thursday afternoon, a 30-year-old man was killed in a deadly motorcycle crash on Sunset Boulevard.
The incident happened just before 2:15 p.m. July 2, at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Glenroy Avenue, near UCLA.
According to police, a 30-year-old Sacramento man was riding a motorcycle westbound on Sunset Boulevard when he lost control at the intersection of Glenroy Avenue and collided with a Volvo.
The impact threw both the rider and his passenger, a 36-year-old Sacramento woman, off the bike.
When first responders arrived on the scene, they took the motorcyclist and his passenger to the hospital. Later, the motorcyclist died as a result of his injuries.
Meanwhile, the Volvo driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
At this time, it is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash. However, an active investigation is underway.
